We are from Suriname, now living in Amsterdam, and we always wanted to share the flavors of the Surinamese kitchen with the rest of the world.
Our love for cooking started in our family homes in Paramaribo. We remember the smell sauteed onions, massala and madam jeanette peppers filling the air while they stirred the roti by hand - no shortcuts, no measuring cups, just generations of knowledge.
